Rev Willie James is a visionary, and entrepreneur who serves as senior pastor of The Open Door Community Church located in Dallas, Texas.
In his early years of ministry, he moved to El Paso, Texas in 1967 where he first established Youth on The Move. As his ministry grew, in 1969 he was able to establish the first predominately black tv show that was aired on KELP TV Station (channel 13). The show was rightfully so called “Youth on The Move” and received such recognition that then President Richard Nixon invited the Youth on The Move group to perform at the White House.
He later in 1975 moved to Dallas, Texas where he established Youth on The Move Center and breaking barriers once again was given the first predominately black tv show that aired on KTXT TV Station (channel 39) and once again calling it “Youth on The Move”
In 1982 he established Open Door Community Church where he presently presides as the senior pastor. Further in 1988 he established Youth on The Move Bus Charter Company. He has successfully run this business for over 32 years while still pastoring.
Celebrating over 41 years of marriage, Rev Willie James and First Lady Brenda Allen-James are parents to four children and five grandchildren.
Brenda M. James is a graceful and humble woman of God. She serves alongside her husband, Rev Willie James of the Open Door Community Church.
She serves as overseer of Women of Destiny women’s department at Open Door Community Church. Addition to fulfilling numerous duties within the church, she alongside her husband has successfully helped build Youth on the Move Charter bus service, where she oversees ensuring the business is successfully ran.
A loving wife, mother and grandmother, First Lady James celebrates over 41 years of marriage to Rev Willie James and are parents to four children and five grandchildren.
